Junior Systems Engineers
APEX Systems, Inc.

At APEX Systems, Inc., we have immediate openings for Junior Systems Engineers in our Ashburn, VA office. We offer a challenging rotation that gives engineers access to all aspects of our business including systems analysis, design, installation, and project management. At the end of the rotation, candidates will be placed in the operating group with the best fit.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position requires minimal direct experience with information technology. However, due to the challenging nature of the orientation, this program is limited to recent graduates (last 1-2 years) with Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.5, from an ABET accredited program. Associates degrees, or Technology / Electronics degrees will not be considered. Candidates must be U.S Citizens in order to receive a U.S granted security clearance. Relocations packages available on case by case basis. Closing date July 6, 2009.

SKILLS REQUESTED

The following skills are considered useful to successful completion of the rotation:

  • Basic understanding of IT and telecommunications fundamentals, including hardware / software and technologies
  • Ability to use AutoCAD or other drafting package
  • Strong logic / reasoning abilities
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to generate conceptual designs based off requirements, research potential solutions
  • Ability to research and review and understand standards, regulations, and specifications documentation
  • Microsoft Office (Spreadsheets and documents) skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on small projects, as well as act as part of an integral team on larger projects
