The course "ECE 498 - Engineering Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)" is designed to provide undergraduate students and graduate students with a fundamental understanding of EMC principles, practices, and applications. EMC is the subject of ensuring that modern electronics and communication systems can operate together without causing or suffering from electromagnetic interference (EMI). EMC is essential since every electronics must comply with EMC standards/requirements to be sold in any country or nation. The main objective of this EMC course is to provide a fundamental understanding of electromagnetic interference and EMC principles, as well as to prepare students for EMC circuit design issues in their future careers in industry and academia.
