DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Abstract:</strong><br />Have you ever wondered how the iphone got to be the iphone or the Xbox became the Xbox? Or how modern avionics makes flying the safest form of transportation? Join us for a technical session focused on the industry that makes the software, tools, and programs that engineers use to design, build, and test the technology we all utilize on a daily basis.</p>
<p><strong>Biography:</strong><br />With 15 years experience in the Electronic Design automation industry, Paul has worked for both commercial and defense companies on ASIC and FPGA designs for avionics, telecommunications, and missile guidance systems. Currently, Paul is an Applications Engineer Consultant at Mentor Graphics. Prior to joining Mentor Graphics, he was a Field Applications Engineer with Quickturn Design Systems and he began his career as a design engineer at Texas Instruments. Paul has a Bachelor of Science Engineering-Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.</p>
