ECE Assistant Professor Shobha Vasudevan was interviewed at the recent DVCon 2011 about her software package GoldMine. DVCon is an industry conference on verification. GoldMine combines data mining and formal verification in a fashion that had not been tried before. It automatically generates assertions, which are used to test and debug a design before it is manufactured. Representatives of the most popular tools were interviewed at the conference. GoldMine was the only university tool selected for interview.
