Graduate Computer Engineering at ECE ILLINOIS has enjoyed a top five ranking from the U.S. News and World Report's Best Graduate Schools list for several years. But this year, the program claimed the number two spot on the national list. Second place is a three-way tie this year, with Carnegie Mellon University and University of California-Berkeley sharing the ranking. Only MIT is ranked higher this year.

Graduate Electrical Engineering holds strong this year, maintaining a fourth place ranking, tied with California Institute of Technology.

In September, both ECE ILLINOIS undergraduate programs received top five rankings.
