Google representatives will be on campus Saturday, April 14, to host a day of team competition for Illinois students. Yes, March Madness is over, and that means it's time for the 2007 Google Games: team puzzle solving, Lego bridge-building, and an "athletic" competition of an entirely different sort. Fans are invited to watch starting at noon at Siebel Center, room 2405.

Google Games is the brainchild of Illinois students and Googlers who met over dinner last fall. The competition starts with original sudoku, logic, and programming puzzles created by Googlers. Next comes a Lego bridge-building contest. The object of the Lego building contest is to build the strongest and most aesthetically pleasing bridge out of a random set of Legos. Finally, there's a contest of an "athletic" nature; details to be revealed the day of the competition. The winners will be determined by total points earned from the three contests.

Team registration is now closed, but friends looking to cheer on the teams and anyone curious to catch the spectacle can attend starting at noon.
