Research Statement:
My research interests lie within the areas of:

- nanoscale devices and physics
- semi-classical and quantum transport theory
- many-body theory
- nanophotonics

More specifically I am interested in developing new optical and logic nanodevices which operate on new physical principles and with the help of new materials. Applications of this interest include but are not limited to: utilizing collective motion of charge carriers to design fundamentally new multi-functional nanodevices with the goal of replacing CMOS functionality with new architectures based on layered structures, developing and utilizing quantum monte carlo techniques to examine the exotic behavior of hundreds of interacting quasiparticles in nanostructures and exploiting monolayer and bilayer graphene sheets and nanoribbons for nanophotonic applications.
