LaTeX Options

Students often inquire regarding a departmental style file for TeX or LaTeX. ECE Publications offers style files that can be sent to you by email.  Send your request to (ece-thesis@illinois.edu) or drop by our office.

In addition, the code available at http://www.physics.uiuc.edu/Education/Graduate/Degree_Req/thesis-templates.html might be of use in helping you prepare your document. Note, however that these files predate the current Graduate College thesis requirements and are no longer supported by the Physics Department.

You might also check with students who have successfully completed the thesis check process to see what TeX or LaTeX files they have used.

We can make no guarantees that any files will automatically conform to the ECE and Graduate College thesis guidelines. It remains your responsibility to ensure that your final thesis conforms to those guidelines. The limitations of your software or hardware, or your limited knowledge of their capabilities, do not release you from the responsibility of meeting the guidelines.
