Anne Y. Woo is a Senior Manager and Chief Engineer in the Tactical Radar Systems Department at Raytheon System Design Center in programs under the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems business area. On top of her technical roles, she is a graduate of the Chief Engineering Development Program and Edge Leadership Program as appointed by the engineering leadership team.

She joined the company in April 2008 and has worked in System Validation, Test and Analysis Directorate in IDS (Integrated Defense System), Systems Development Center in SAS (Space and Airbourne Systems), and Raytheon Australia. While at Raytheon, she has supported new business initiatives for defense systems and system analysis for Next Generation Jammer, Global Hawk, F-18, F-16 and F-18 RACR, Patriot UAE, Australia’s Hobart Class Command Team Trainer, Wiley High Fidelity Radar Simulator, Missile Defense System Exerciser (MDSE)-Concurrent Test, Training & Ops, and MDSE-Closed Air Gap programs.

Previously, she worked at Qualcomm, Sun Microsystems, and Bell Laboratories. She holds a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and PhD from ECE ILLINOIS in electrical engineering with a concentration in electromagnetic modeling for 3-D passive structures at high frequencies.

Her interests include solving big picture problems while understanding the impact on technical details. She is passionate about entrepreneurship. She is active in Silicon Beach LA and has served as the co-chair of the Harvard Entrepreneurship Conference and Director of Strategy for their business society. She is a certified Scrum Master for agile development and certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the international recognized Project Management Institute. She is principal investigator for two college research collaboration projects and an advisor for STARnet’s program, SONIC (Systems on Nanoscale Information Fabrics). She continues to mentor, currently serving as the Raytheon campus manager for Illinois.
