Corporate partners

Students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering are among the best and brightest. ECE ILLINOIS faculty members are the standard-bearers of their fields, conducting cutting-edge research that is contributing to computing, heath care, power and energy systems, security, computer vision, nanotechnology, and countless other fields.

ECE ILLINOIS students and faculty can be a powerful asset to your organization. Partnering with the department is an effective way to reach and recruit them for internships, co-ops, and full-time positions, as well as work together on research.

Key reasons to collaborate with ECE ILLINOIS

  • We have more than 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Our more than 100 faculty members are doing cutting-edge research. Eight are members of the National Academy of Engineering; 45 are IEEE Fellows.
  • U.S. News and World Report consistently ranks our programs in the top five in the nation.
  • Our students are in high demand, and companies can creatively interact with them in our new ECE Building. Last academic year, ECE student groups hosted company representatives for more than 50 tech talks, hacks, and workshops, while companies took over the lobby for a Corporate Day 20 times.
  • Our students are getting a prestigious, but hands-on, education. The ECE Building contains more than 20 instructional labs, and our students participate in many student organizations, including PURE, which pairs undergraduates with faculty and graduate students mentors to work together on research projects.
