Prerequisites: Advanced Placement in Calc I, II.
This course introduces advanced students to Advanced Engineering Mathematics as typically used in Engineering, Physics and science courses. This is a math course, taught in the context of the history of
mathematics, used as a pedagogical tool. This 3-hr course is historically organized around three main themes:
I) Number systems [ca. 50 BCE-1CE],
II) Algebraic equations [ca. 5-17 CE] and
III) Differential equations (e.g., KCL, KVL, Maxwell's Equations) [ca. 18-21CE].
